Let's be real, you are on MRKT365 to make money and that's great because that's what we are known for. In order to land projects and bill your clients you need to determine an hourly rate. You can charge any price you want for your service but if it's not reasonable for your service then you will not get the project. This does not mean you need to have the lowest rate in your industry, you should list the rate you are comfortable. Different rates bring different kinds of customers and quantities of customers.

Remember, all prices listed on MRKT365 are denominated in USD, but you can exchange it to any currency later. If you know your rate in your local currency then we suggest you convert it with a free currency conversion tool like XE.com

Factors should you consider when listing your hourly rate:

  • Your current rate at work or your rate on other freelancing websites
  • Your freelancing costs like software, licenses, etc.
  • The profit you want to make

A general rule is to multiply your hourly wage by 1.5

If you don't know your hourly wage then divide your annual salary by 2000.

If you never earned a salary then use your country/province's minimum hourly wage.
